Checking Service Visa Guide

If you are confident that you can adequately prepare your UK Visa application yourself and only want an expert eye cast over your work to make sure that you have not made any mistakes, this is the service for you. Our Checking Service process from start to finish is as follows:

  • You can either give us a call on 0203 178 2048 or submit a Call Back Request on the right-hand side of this page so we can call you instead. One of our UK Visa experts will speak with you to assess your eligibility for the UK Visa you want to apply for based on your circumstances.  Before we sign up any client, even those only opting for our Checking Service, we will fully assess whether you will qualify for the UK Visa you are looking to obtain.  As a matter of principle, we will only work with clients here at First Migration whose UK Visa can be approved as our perfect record of approval is far too important to us.

  • Before we can start to assist you by providing our expert knowledge and practical experience, you will need to instruct us to represent you by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions and paying our professional fee.

  • As you have opted for the Checking Service, you will need to prepare your UK Visa application to the best of your ability before we can thoroughly review your work. This includes completing the appropriate UK Visa application form, preparing a cover letter addressed to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) or the appropriate British Embassy/High Commission, and gathering all the supporting documents you believe are required.  As you have not chosen our full representation services, you will need to do your own research to prepare the application to the best of your ability. We would also recommend that you write down any queries or doubts you come across as you prepare your own application. This will ensure that you get the most out of the time you have with your First Migration Visa Expert when they review your entire application.

  • Please note that our checking service is the only service we offer where we do not provide you with a detailed document list or any document templates.  Should you want access to these documents drafted by our UK Visa experts based on their years of experience, you will need to upgrade to one of our full representation services (Silver, Gold or Platinum Services).

  • Once you are confident that your UK Visa application is prepared and ready for submission, you can call our office and book an appointment to meet with us. You will have a one-hour meeting with one of our expert UK Visa experts who will thoroughly review your entire application based on their years of practical experience in securing UK Visa approvals. Rest assured that you will be provided with detailed feedback back about any changes you need to make to your documents, the application form and your cover letter. If you follow our advice to the letter, your application will be successful in the same way the UK Visa applications we submit daily are always approved.

  • Alternatively, should it not be practical for you to meet us in person at our Central London office, you can choose for us to review your application remotely. Should you choose this option, you will need to e-mail through copies of your cover letter, application form(s) and all the supporting documents to us. Your dedicated UK Visa expert will review the entire application and provide you with a detailed report about any changes you need to make. We can also speak with you on the phone to brief you about our advice to ensure you know exactly what you need to do for the UK Visa application to be approved.
  • Once your UK Visa expert has provided you with their extensive feedback, you will need to make any changes we have advised to sort out before submission. As long as you follow our advice to the letter, there is no reason why, like all of our full-service clients, your UK Visa will not be approved the first time.

  • At this stage of the process, you will be ready to submit your completed UK Visa application to either UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) in the UK or the appropriate British Embassy/High Commission overseas.  Regarding the timeline involved, this can be as quick or as slow a process as you would like as you are fully in control.  Just let us know when you are ready for your work to be checked, and we will be there for you.

If this is the type of cost-effective service you would prefer, why not give us a call on 0203 178 2048 or request a Call Back using the form on the right-hand side of this page? Should you wish to secure your own UK Visa approval, we are without a doubt the best insurance policy you could hope for! With the experience our UK Visa experts have attained over the past decade, they can ensure you have not made any mistakes that could lead to the application being refused.

Premium Checking Service

Are you looking for the most cost-effective way of ensuring your UK visa is approved using the UK Visa and Immigration’s (UKVI) Premium Service? The Premium Service allows you the opportunity to obtain your UK visa approval in one day if you are applying within the UK.  We are proud to announce that our new Premium Checking Service will allow you to prepare your own visa application with First Migration checking your work to ensure your visa is approved the first time. Our service also includes us providing you with one of our secured Premium appointments at the Home Office, and we will provide you with a detailed document list together with any document templates you may need to make preparing your own application as easy as possible. The process from start to finish is as follows:

  • You can call us directly or request a call back at the top of this page and one of our dedicated UK visa experts will assess your case along with your eligibility to apply for your chosen visa.
  • Should you decide to place your faith in First Migration to ensure your UK visa is approved, you will need to agree to our Terms and Conditions and pay the professional fee for our services.  Once you have instructed us to assist you, we will send you our detailed document list and the document templates you need so you can start to prepare your UK visa application.
  • At this stage, we will also agree on the date of your Premium appointment at one of the UKVI’s Premium Service Centres (PSC) located across the UK and secure the appointment for you.  You will now be safe in the knowledge that the Premium Service appointment at the Home Office has been secured, and that you are working with the best in the UK immigration world to ensure your UK visa will be approved.
  • Once you have prepared your visa application form, composed your cover letter and gathered all the necessary documents, you will need to book an appointment to meet with your First Migration visa expert.
  • Your dedicated consultant will meet with you for an hour (face to face) to thoroughly check every aspect of your UK visa application and advise you of any and all changes you may need to make to ensure your visa is approved.
  • All you will need to do now is follow our advice to the letter regarding any changes you need to make to your UK visa application and arrive at the UKVI’s Premium Service Centre on time to submit the fully prepared application!

On the day of your appointment, you must arrive at the UKVI’s Premium Service Centre (PSC) at least 15 minutes before your appointment. Plan ahead and do not be late! In case you are wondering what happens next:

  • You will have to show security on the ground floor your appointment booking confirmation to be allowed through the building to submit your application. Once through Security, you may have your prepared application briefly checked  to make sure you are not wasting the Home Office’s time with an incomplete application.
  • Once you have passed security, you will be shown through to the PSC waiting room and assigned a number for your Biometric appointment. You just need to take a seat and wait for your number to called. When the Home Office call your Biometric number, you will be told which Biometric room number you should attend to have your Biometric data taken (i.e. your digital photo and your digital fingerprints). It is at this stage that you should hand over your fully prepared UK visa application to the Biometric Officer on duty. They, in turn, will pass your visa application to the appropriate Home Office caseworker behind the scenes to enable them to process it.  Please be advised that you no longer speak with the Home Office caseworker responsible for your UK visa application unless they have any queries and call you to a security window to talk to them.
  • Once you have handed your application to the Biometric Officer and had your Biometric data taken, you will just need to take a seat in the waiting room until they call you to collect your decision. On some occasions, you may be allowed to leave the Premium Service Centre with their permission to get food or drinks, and they will call your mobile when they have made their decision.  Before doing this, we would recommend that you ask for permission from the Biometric Officer and ensure that they are happy for you to do this.
  • When the Home Office caseworker has made their decision, you will be called to a security window and given back your application with their decision letter attached.  If you have been successful, the Home Office’s approval letter will confirm that your new Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) visa ID card will be posted to you within 7 working days of the approval date. Please ensure that you look after your approval letter as you will need the information on this letter if they fail to post your BRP visa card to you within 7 working days. This is the end of the Premium Service process so you can now leave the Premium Service Centre and celebrate the fact that your UK visa has been approved!

We trust that you now fully understand exactly how our Premium Checking Service works so if you are interested in taking advantage of this service, why not give us a call on 0203 178 2048 or request a callback? There really is no reason to risk your government fees, and you’re your future in the UK when you can benefit from our years of experience in only securing UK visa approvals.

Postal Service Visa Guide

Should you choose our Silver, Gold or Platinum levels of service, you may decide to apply for your visa in the UK by post. The processing time by post can be up to six months so bear in mind that you can also choose to apply via a more expensive Premium Service? For more information about the Premium Service, please see the relevant guide on this page.

Should you choose to apply through the Postal Service, how does it work and what is the process that we follow to guarantee your UK Visa approval?  Put simply; it is as follows:

  • The process begins with a free initial telephone consultation with a First Migration Visa Expert to check whether you qualify for the UK Visa you wish to apply for and whether we feel that we can guarantee your visa approval? You can either call us on 0203 178 2048 or submit the Call Back Request form on the right-hand side of this page, and we will call you instead?
  • Once we have assessed your eligibility and are confident we can assist you, we will send you our Terms and Conditions and Payment Options by e-mail to enable you to understand our terms of service and costs involved. If you have any queries at this stage, just drop us an e-mail or give your dedicated UK Visa Expert a call?
  • Before you can benefit from our experience, you will need to instruct us to represent you by paying our professional fee and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions (by e-mail)? Once you have completed these two tasks, our comprehensive service will begin.  We will send you our detailed document list, our expert document templates (to make things simple for you), a questionnaire to complete and various other documents so you can get going on gathering all the necessary supporting documents.  Not sure about anything at this stage?  Just get in touch with your dedicated First Migration Visa consultant and they will be able to clarify any doubts you may have.
  • Once you have gathered all the documents that we have requested to secure your UK visa approval, you have a decision to make?  You can either post all documents to us by Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service (1 pm next day only), or you can call our office and make an appointment to hand them over to your dedicated Visa Expert in person?  If possible, we prefer to receive all the documents in one go as this makes it easier for us to assess your case in its entirety, but this is not always possible (especially when duplicate bank statements are required!).  If you have any difficulties in providing all the documents we have requested, please arrange the best course of action with your dedicated consultant.
  • Once we have received and checked all your documents, your First Migration Visa Expert will begin to prepare the application form(s) and a bespoke legal cover letter to ensure your case is properly explained to the Home Office caseworker.  Our expert legal cover letter is one of the main reasons that we have been so successful as it relates the specifics of your case to the immigration rules and relevant policy guidances. Our legal cover letter effectively explains to the Home Office caseworker why they have no choice but to approve your UK Visa application.
  • Once the visa application has been fully prepared, it will be triple checked by a Director of First Migration before being sent by Special Delivery (so it can be fully tracked on its way) to the Home Office (UKVI Department).
  • Within two to four weeks from the date we have submitted your UK Visa application by post, we will receive an acknowledgement letter from the Home Office (UKVI) confirming receipt. We will immediately scan a copy of this letter through to you via e-mail for your records and more importantly, your peace of mind. It is also at this stage that we will receive your Biometric invitation letter requesting you (and any dependents applying with you) to attend the nearest Post Office to have your Biometric data taken. You will need to collect the original invitation letter from us (or we can post it out to you) and pay the Post Office £19.20 per applicant for them to process your Biometric data (digital fingerprints and photograph). Once the Post Office has taken your Biometric data, their computer system will automatically update the Home Office systems, and you do not have to do anything else. You just need to inform us that the Biometrics have been taken and wait until we receive your visa application back from the Home Office with your approval letter.
  • After a few more weeks or months (depending on the type of UK Visa), First Migration will receive the Home Office’s decision together with all the supporting documents submitted at our Central London office.  We will contact you immediately with the fantastic news, and contact you again once we receive your new BRP Visa card(s) through secure courier within a week of the approval. This will officially end of the application process and rest assured that we will brief you on planning ahead for the next application you have to make to ensure you know what to do.

If you would like to speak with us about this service or your eligibility for the UK Visa you wish to secure, call us now on 0203 178 2048. Alternatively, you can request a Call Back using the contact form on the right-hand side of this page. We look forward to working with you to ensure you secure your future in the UK hassle-free.

Premium Service Visa Guide

Most of our clients that choose our Silver, Gold or Platinum levels of service decide to submit their visa application in the UK through the Home Office’s Premium Service. If you are applying for your UK Visa inside the UK and want the quickest decision possible, you should avoid the Postal Service and opt for the Premium Service instead. While the government fees for this service are higher than the Postal Service, you give yourself the best chance of securing your approval in one day. Instead of submitting your application by post, you can attend a Premium Service Centre in either Croydon, Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Glasgow or Belfast. You should note that over 95% of our clients receive their approval on the same day they attend the Premium appointment. If you do not receive your approval on the same day (as the Home Office have the right to hold the application for further consideration), the processing time is still far quicker than applying by post.

The process of applying via the Premium Service is like the Postal Service, but the differences start at the time your visa application is submitted to the Home Office (UK Visas and Immigration).  Should you opt to apply via the Home Office’s Premium Service and place your faith in First Migration to secure your UK Visa approval, the process will be as follows:

  • You will have a free initial telephone consultation with a First Migration Visa Expert so we can check your eligibility for the UK Visa you wish to apply for. Please let us know at this stage if you are considering applying via the Premium Service so we can brief you on all you need to know about this service. You can take advantage of this free assessment by calling us on 0203 178 2048 or submitting a Call Back Request on the right-hand side of this page?

  • During our initial assessment, we will work out the best time for you to apply for your UK Visa to ensure we can secure a Premium appointment at the Home Office for you.  You should note that the Premium Service is rapidly gaining in popularity, and on some occasions, it can be difficult to secure an appointment due to the demand. Therefore, we recommend that all clients that want this service sign up with us at least 6 weeks before the date of submission. Preferably, you should contact us at least 2-3 months before you wish to apply to enable enough time for us to secure you the appointment date you want.  Having said this, we have mastered the ability to secure last minute appointments but this can be stressful for all concerned, so plan ahead if you can.

  • If you are happy to proceed with our expert guidance, you can either start the process over the phone (the best option if you live outside London or the UK) or you can book a free appointment to come and meet us before proceeding?  We are always happy to meet you face-to-face before you sign up for our services to ensure you are fully confident we are the right UK Visa experts for you. This initial meeting also allows us the opportunity to address any concerns you may have about your eligibility, and we know that once you meet with us once, you will appreciate why we have been so successful to date.

  • Should you want to get the process started, the next step requires you to pay our professional fee (either over the phone, at our office or by bank transfer) and agree to our Terms and Conditions.  Please note that the OISC regulations (our regulator) state that we must complete this stage of the process before we can provide you with detailed immigration advice or services.

  • Once you have instructed us to represent you and paid our professional fees, our full service will begin.  We will e-mail you a receipt for the fees you have paid, our detailed document list and a questionnaire to make everything as simple for you as possible.  Many clients will need letter templates or documents drafted for them so that the wording is perfect and fits in with the legal arguments that we will make.  Rest assured that we would do all of this for you.

  • We will secure the Premium appointment you want at the Home Office on your behalf while you gather all the supporting documents we require in the format we have requested them.  We will provide you with a copy of the Premium appointment booking confirmation once we have secured the appointment. Please note that the government fees are paid at the time we book your Premium appointment online using your Credit/Debit card details. You will be provided with a receipt for the fees paid.

  • Once you have gathered all the supporting documents, you can hand them over to us (in one go preferably) at our Central London office in person, or you can post them to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery (1 pm next day delivery only). The choice is yours. Clients often ask what happens if they cannot get all the documents we request?  Do not worry as there are always alternatives and you will get the documents we need because you want your UK Visa approval as much as we do.

  • Once received, we will check through all your supporting documents and provide you with detailed feedback. Should we find any documents missing or any that are not in the correct format, we will confirm what you need to do to ensure your application is successful? We will also begin to prepare the application form(s) and our detailed expert legal cover letter arguing your case.

  • Once the application has been fully prepared ready for submission, you will need to come and collect the case from our office and take it to the Premium appointment at the Home Office (or we can post it to you by Royal Mail’s Special Delivery).

  • Should you have paid for our legal representative to accompany you to the Home Office (in Croydon only), you do not need to come and collect the prepared application from our office. Our legal representative will carry your fully prepared application on the day to the Home Office for you. You will just need to meet them on the day of the appointment outside the UKVI’s Premium Service Centre (PSC). Rest assured that we will escort you through the building and the process on the day to ensure you have no issues with obtaining your UK Visa approval.

  • On the day you attend the Premium Service Centre (PSC), you will need to go through security and be shown to the Biometric Centre in the building. When the Home Office are ready, you will be called through to a Biometric room to have your digital fingerprints and photograph taken. Nowadays, you do not see the Home Office caseworker and hand over your prepared application to the Biometric Officer instead. They will pass the application to the caseworker once your Biometric data has been taken.

  • At this stage, you will need to take a seat and wait for the Home Office caseworker to decide whether to approve your application. This process can take a few hours so you may want to leave the building while you wait? Please make sure you agree this with Home Office staff before you leave or you may struggle to get back into the building to collect your UK visa approval.

  • When the Home Office caseworker has made a decision, you will be called to a security window in the building. They will hand back all of your supporting documents along with your approval letter confirming the application has been successful. You should make sure you check the caseworker has returned all the documents submitted before you leave the building. If they have forgotten to provide any documents back and you only realise after you have left, it is highly unlikely you will get them back again so be warned!

  • You should note that all visas issued in the UK are no longer stamped in an applicant’s passport and you will only receive an approval letter at the Home Office appointment. You will be issued a new Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card which will be sent to our Central London office within about a week of your visa being approved.  We will contact you as soon as we receive the BRP visa card.
  • Once the new BRP Visa card has been received, this will officially bring our service to a successful conclusion. Rest assured that we will provide you with our expert guidance at this stage to enable you to plan ahead for your next UK Visa application and you can celebrate!

So why not get in touch with us today by calling 0203 178 2048 and let us show you how different we are from any other UK immigration consultancy out there? Alternatively, you can submit a Call Back Request on the right-hand side of this page, and one of our UK Visa experts will call you ASAP. With a free initial consultation and the fact we cover our UK Visa applications under our no-win, no-fee guarantee*, what have you got to lose? We look forward to working with you to secure your future in the UK.

*in line with our Terms and Conditions.

Applying Outside The UK Visa Guide

First Migration’s reach is truly global, and we are proud to say that we assist clients worldwide to submit their applications and secure their visa approvals to come to the UK.  The process for anyone wishing to come to the UK for the first time will involve submitting a UK Visa application to the British Embassy or High Commission in the applicant’s home country (or country of residence).

So if you are looking for your family to come and join you in the UK or are applying yourself for the first time in your country of residence, the application process with our expert assistance and services will be as follows:

  • Give us a call on +44 (0) 203 178 2048 or submit a Call Back Request on the right-hand side of this page and one of our UK Visa Experts will call you back. We will assess your case and eligibility for the UK Visa you wish to apply for outside the UK. Rest assured that we will only work with you if you qualify for the UK Visa you will be submitting to the British Embassy or High Commission, and we are confident that you will benefit from our expert assistance.

  • Once your detailed eligibility assessment has been completed, we will e-mail you a copy of our Terms and Conditions and Payment Options. To get our service underway, you will need to instruct us to represent your case by paying our professional fee and agreeing to our Terms and Conditions by e-mail.  Once these two tasks have been completed, we will send you our detailed document list and any document templates you need to get the process started.

  • If you are in the UK helping a loved one apply to come here: you will need to get all the original documents to us we have requested so we can start to prepare the application form and our detailed legal cover letter. If you are outside the UK: to make things faster and easier for you, we can work from scanned electronic copies of your documents saving you time and courier fees.  You just need to scan and e-mail the copies of all the supporting documents to your dedicated First Migration Visa expert.

  • Once we have thoroughly checked your documents and are confident that you have supplied us with everything we need to guarantee the UK Visa approval, we will set up the online application form for you to complete. All you need to do is fill out the application form to the best of your ability and save the information without submitting it. We will check the online form for you once completed, make any necessary changes and submit it on your behalf while we are speaking on the phone. It is at this stage that you will be paying the government fees and NHS Surcharge (if applicable) online. Once the payment has been made, we will be able to book the appointment at the Visa Centre for you in the country of application. Rest assured that we will walk you through this part of the process as it can be confusing and easy to make a mistake that will cause you problems later.

  • Once the online application form has been submitted, and the Biometric appointment booked at the Visa Centre in the country you are applying from, we will print off all the documents needed for submission. We will also prepare the second hardcopy application form that has to be submitted and draft our expert legal cover letter to represent your application to the British Embassy/High Commission. We will scan through both documents to you, so you are included in the preparation process and to enable you to check our work. We kindly request that you provide us with constructive feedback as no-one knows your details better than you do and this is a team effort.

  • We will then prepare the entire application to ensure it is perfectly presented and ready for submission at the Visa Centre outside the UK. You can either instruct us to courier the fully prepared application to you (or your loved one) or you can organise a courier yourself.

  • At this stage of the process, all you (or your loved one) must do is attend the Biometric appointment at the Visa Centre in the country of residence, have your (or their) biometrics taken (digital fingerprints and photo), and hand over the fully prepared UK Visa application. When you hand over your UK Visa application at the Visa Centre, they will forward it on to the British Embassy/High Commission for you. Once done, you must wait for the British Embassy or High Commission to contact you by e-mail to confirm a decision has been made. Processing times for UK Visas vary depending on the visa type and country of application. For example, Visitor Visas will be granted within a week or two whereas UK Spouse Visas can take up to 3 months to be approved. Bear this fact in mind make sure you start the application process to ensure you can travel the UK at the time you want. Once the Visa Centre e-mails you, you can then collect all their documents, the approval letter and the passport with the UK Visa stamp from the Visa Centre.

  • On a final note, please note that any UK Visa being issued for 6 months or less will be as a paper visa stuck in your current passport. Should you be applying for a UK Visa that is valid for longer than 6 months, you will only be issued a paper vignette visa in your passport valid for 30 days. This visa will give you 30 days from the date of issue to enter the UK to collect Your BRP Visa ID card from a Post Office in the UK. All UK Visas valid for more than 6 months must be issued as a BRP visa ID Card nowadays, and they can only be issued in the United Kingdom. When you are at this stage, you will have completed the application process and can celebrate the fact your UK Visa has been granted.

If you are looking for someone to take away all the stress and hassle of applying for your UK Visa outside the United Kingdom, why not let the UK’s leading Visa Experts to do everything for you? Platinum Service Visa Guide

This service has been specifically designed for our more discerning, high net worth clients and offers our clients a level of service that is unlike any other offered within our industry.  We are the only immigration consultancy that can truly say that we do everything for you.
Should you opt for this first class service, you can expect nothing less than the following:

  • To commence with the Platinum service, you will need to call our office or request a call back (at the top of the page).  You will speak with or be contacted by a Director of First Migration who will personally assess your case.
  • You will be required to pay the professional fee and agree to First Migration’s Terms and Conditions and in return you will be sent our detailed document list and any other documents required to begin the process.  Your mobile number will also be taken so you can priority call a Director of First Migration.
  • A Director of First Migration will organise a time to visit your office or home (within Greater London only), to check and collect all the documents we need to start preparing your visa application for submission.
  • We will fully draft a detailed legal cover letter and all the visa applications forms on your behalf to ensure your visa is approved.
  • On the day of your Premium appointment, our dedicated chauffeur will collect you from your home or office and take you in style to your appointment at the Public Enquiry Office (PEO) in Croydon.
  • You will also be met by one of our legal representatives outside the entrance to the PEO and personally escorted through the whole process on the day.  We will do all the talking to the UK Border Agency officials as your legal representative to ensure everything is as hassle free as possible for you.
  • When you attend your appointment, you will only have to pay your Government fees directly to the UKBA and have your Biometric data taken.  Once these two tasks have been completed (about 2 hours into the process) you can leave the PEO and our dedicated chauffeur will take you home or back to work.  Our legal representative will continue the process on your behalf and submit the application to the case worker while making legal representation for you.
  • Once we receive your visa back approved at the end of the day, we will call you to confirm the good news as expected. The application will be returned back to our office the following day by the legal representative that you met on the day and we will call you to confirm that everything has been received back securely.
  • Within the next week we will receive your Biometric visa cards from the UKBA at our office through secured post and you will be contacted again for us to organise the return of your completed application.
  • We will return everything back to you by secured courier and that is the end of the process…at least until you next need to apply for another visa extension.

We are sure that you will agree that this is a truly bespoke, comprehensive and unique level of service.  Why not give us a call or a request a call back (at the top of the page) if you are interested and we can discuss how we can literally take away all the stress and worry and do everything needed on your behalf.

Applying Overseas Guide

First Migration’s reach is truly global and we are proud to say that we assist clients all over the world to submit their applications and secure their visa approvals to come to the UK.  The process for anyone wishing to come to the UK for the first time will involve them submitting a visa application to the British Embassy or High Commission in their country (or country of residence).
So if you are looking for your family to come and join you in the UK or are simply applying for the first time in your home country, the application process is as follows:

  • Give us a call or request a call back (at the top of the page) and one of expert visa consultants will assess your case and eligibility for the visa you wish to apply for. Rest assured that we will only work with you if you qualify for the visa and we know that you will benefit from our expert assistance.
  • Once your detailed eligibility assessment has been completed, you will need to instruct us to represent your case by paying our professional fee and agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.  In return, we will send you our detailed document list and any document templates you need to get the process started.
  • If you are in the UK: you will need to get all the original documents to us we have requested so we can start to prepare the application form and our detailed legal cover letter. If you are overseas: to make things faster and easier for you, we can work from electronic scanned copies of your documents saving you time and courier fees.  You can just scan copies of the documents we have requested to your First Migration consultant.
  • Once we have checked your documents and are confident that you have supplied us with everything we need to guarantee your visa approval, we can start to prepare the application form.  Over the past few years the UK government has been moving away from using old style paper forms preferring applicants to submit on-line application forms instead.  We will set you up an on-line visa account and fully prepare the application form for you.  As you can appreciate, this is a team effort so we will provide you with the login details and get you to check our work to ensure the application form is truly perfect.  Should the British Embassy/High Commission in your home country still be waiting to move their visa process online, we will fully prepare the paper form and scan a copy to you for your approval.
  • Once the on-line form has been completed and properly checked, we will be in a position to submit the application form online and book your biometric appointment at the British Embassy/High Commission.  In some countries you can pay the Government processing fees at this stage (on-line) but for most you will be paying the fees in person on the day you attend your biometric appointment.  Like most governments around the world, the UK has partly outsourced their visa process to a private company.  This means that you will not be going to the British Embassy/High Commission in your home country to submit the application. Depending on which country you are applying from, you will either go to the offices of World Bridge (mainly the Americas, Europe and China), VFS (the Indian Sub-Continent) or Gerry’s (Pakistan). This change in process was designed to let the British officials spend all their time working on the applications and not having to meet and greet applicants.  Please note that this does not mean that applicants are no longer interviewed by British officials and if you do not properly prepare your application, they could summon you to the British Embassy/High Commission for interview.  We are pleased to note that out of the 1000+ visa approvals overseas, only one First Migration client has ever been called for interview.
  • In case you are wondering, we have referred to your appointment as a Biometric appointment as you now need to have your biometric data taken to apply for a UK visa.  This involves your digital fingerprints and photo being taken and recorded in an effort to reduce visa fraud.
  • Once the on-line form has been submitted, your appointment to submit the case has been secured; we will fully prepare our detailed legal cover letter representing your case.  This important document is one of the main reasons we only receive visa approvals outside the UK.  By making the best legal arguments and relating your specific case to the immigration rules, we can ensure that the Entry Clearance Officer (UK official) has no choice but to approve your visa.
  • At this stage all we have to do is courier the completed application to you and you will be ready for submission.  In the envelope we send you, you will find our detailed cover letter, the invitation letter for your appointment, a copy of the on-line form and all the documents you have given us.  If we have been working from scanned copies of the documents, you will be required to replace them with the originals when you receive everything from us.  Remember, they will ONLY accept original documents and copies are NOT allowed.
  • You now only have to take our work and submit the application on the day of your appointment and your visa will be granted and issued in due course.  Processing times differ from country to country but most applications are approved within 3-4 weeks.

So if you are looking for someone to take away all the stress and hassle of applying for your visa and you want a guaranteed visa approval, why not call us today.  If you are currently outside the UK, you can always request a call back (at the top of this page) and we will contact you directly to save you money.  We are looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully making you a part of our success story.

Checking Service Visa Guide

If you are fairly confident that you can adequately prepare your own application and only want an expert eye cast over your work to make sure that you have not made any mistakes, this is the service for you. Our Checking Service process from start to finish is as follows:

  • You can either give us a call on the telephone number above or simply request a call back at the top of this page, and one of our UK visa experts will assess your eligibility for the visa based on your specific situation.  Before we sign up any client, even those only opting for our checking service, we will fully assess whether you will qualify for the visa.  As a matter of principle, we will only work with clients whose visa can be approved as our perfect record of approval is too important to us.
  • Before we can start to work with you, you will need to instruct us to represent you by agreeing to our Terms and Conditions and paying our professional fee.
  • As you have opted for the checking service, you will need to prepare your UK visa application to the best of your ability before coming to meet with us.  This includes completing the appropriate visa application form, preparing a cover letter addressed to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) or the appropriate British Embassy/High Commission, and gather all the documents you believe are required.  Please note that our checking service is the only service we offer where we do not provide you with a detailed document list and any document templates to make your life as easy as possible.
  • Once you are confident that your UK visa application is fully prepared and ready for submission, you can call our office and book an appointment to sit down with one of expert UK visa consultants that have years of practical experience in securing UK visa approvals.
  • For the professional fee paid, you will have a one hour, face to face meeting with your expert visa consultant where they will fully check and assess the application you have prepared.  Rest assured that your expert consultant will advise you about any and all changes that need to be made to your cover letter, application form or any of your documents to ensure you secure your approval. As long as you follow our advice to the letter, you can expect your UK visa application to be returned to you with an approval like all of our clients that take advantage of our full representation services.
  • You will need to take the notes you have made during your meeting with us and make any changes we have advised you to make. As long as you follow our advice to the letter, there is no reason why like all of our other clients your visa will not be approved the first time.
  • At this stage of the process, you will be ready to submit your fully completed visa application to either UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) or the appropriate British Embassy/High Commission overseas.  With regard to the timeline involved, this can be as quick or as slow a process as you would like as you are fully in control.  Just let us know when you are ready for your work to be checked, and we will be there for you.

If this is your service of choice, why not give us a call on 0203 178 2048 or request a call back at the top of the page  and let us be the best insurance policy you could wish for to ensure you do not get your visa refused.

So how does our Postal UK Visa Service work and what is the process that we follow to guarantee your visa approval?  Put simply; it is a follows:

  • The process begins with a telephone discussion with a First Migration visa expert to check whether you qualify for the UK visa you wish to apply for and whether we feel that we can guarantee your visa approval?
  • If the answer to both of these questions is “yes”, we will send you a copy of our Terms and Conditions and Payment Options to enable you to understand the terms of service and the cost of using First Migration – if you have any queries at this stage, just drop us an e-mail or give your dedicated UK visa consultant a call?
  • Before you can benefit from our experience, you will need to instruct us to represent you by paying the professional fee and returning a copy of the Terms and Conditions signed (by post or e-mail). Once you have completed these two tasks, our comprehensive service will begin.  In return, we will send you our detailed document list, our invaluable document templates (to make things simple for you),a questionnaire to complete and various other documents so you can get going on gathering all the necessary visa documents.  Not sure about anything at this stage?  Just get in touch with your dedicated First Migration visa consultant and they will be able to clarify any doubts you may have.
  • Once you have gathered all the documents that we have requested to secure your UK visa approval, you have a decision to make?  You can either post all documents to us by Royal Mail’s Special Delivery service (1pm next day only), or you can call our office and make an appointment to hand them over to your visa consultant in person?  We prefer to receive all the documents in one go as this makes it easier for us to assess your case in its entirety, but this is not always possible (especially when duplicate bank statements are required!).  If you have any difficulties in providing all documents we have requested, please arrange the best course of action with your dedicated consultant.
  • Once we have received and checked all your documents, your First Migration visa expert will begin to prepare the application form(s) and our unique cover letter to ensure your case is clearly explained to the Home Office caseworker.  Our expert legal cover letter is one of the main reasons that we have been so successful as it relates your particular case to the immigration rules, current policy guidances and explains to the caseworker why they have no choice but to approve your UK visa application.
  • Once the case has been fully prepared, it will be triple checked by a Director of First Migration (and rest assured that our approval rate is of paramount importance to us) before being sent by Special Delivery (so it can be fully tracked on its way) to the Home Office (UKVI department).
  • Within two – four weeks from the date we have submitted your UK visa application by post, we will receive an acknowledgement letter from the Home Office (UKVI) confirming receipt. We will immediately scan a copy of this letter through to you via e-mail for your records and more importantly, your peace of mind. It is also at this stage that we will receive your Biometric invitation letter requesting you to attend the nearest Post Office to have your Biometric data taken. You will need to collect the original invitation letter from us (or we can post it out to you) and pay the Post Office £19.20 per applicant for them to process your Biometric data. Once the Post Office has taken your Biometric data, their computer system will automatically update the Home Office systems, and you do not have to do anything else. You will just need to wait until we receive your visa application back from the Home Office with your approval letter.
  • After a few more weeks or months (depending on which visa you are applying for), First Migration will receive your decision together with all the documents we have submitted on your behalf.  We will contact you immediately with the fantastic news, and this will be the end of the process (until your next visa application!).

If you would like to speak with us about this service or your eligibility for the UK visa you wish to secure, call us now on 0203 178 2048 or request a call back above. We look forward to working with you to ensure you secure your future in the UK hassle free.

Premium Service Visa Guide

The Premium service process is very similar to the Postal service but the differences start at the time your visa is submitted to the UK Border Agency.  The process is as follows and we apologise for the length of text but there is so much to explain:

  • Either give us a call or submit a contact form (which you can find at the top of the page) and we will discuss your eligibility to make sure that you qualify for the visa.
  • We can either start the process over the phone (the best option if you live outside London or in any other country in the world) or you can book a free appointment to come and meet us before proceeding.  We are always happy to meet with you first as we know you may have concerns that we can address as this process is so important to your future in the UK.  We also know that once you meet with us you will fully appreciate why we have been so successful to date.
  • We will then need to work out the best time for you to apply and ensure that we can secure a Premium appointment for you.  You should note that the Premium service is rapidly gaining popularity and there are simply not enough appointments for everyone.  You will need to contact us at least 2-3 months before you wish to apply to enable enough time for us to secure you one.  Having said this, we have mastered the ability to secure last minute appointments but this can be stressful for all concerned so plan ahead if you can.
  • The next stage in the process involves you paying the professional fee (either over the phone, at our office or by bank transfer) and agreeing to our Terms and Conditions.  Please note that OISC regulations state that we must complete this stage of the process before we can start to assist you.  Once payment has been received your visa appointment date will be fully secured.
  • Once you have instructed us to represent you our full service will begin.  We will e-mail you a receipt for the fees you have paid, our detailed document list and a questionnaire to make everything as simple for you as possible.  Many clients will need letter templates or documents drafted for them so that the wording is perfect and fits in with the legal arguments that we will make.  Rest assured that we have done and will do all of this for you.
  • You need to gather all the documents we require in the format we request them.  Clients often ask what happens if they cannot get all the documents we request?  Do not worry about this as there are always alternatives and you will get the documents simply because you want your visa approval almost as much as we do.
  • We want you to hand over all the documents in one go either in person at our officce or you can post them to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery (1pm next day delivery only).  Some clients may prefer to use a courier. The choice is yours.
  • We will check through all the documents you have given to us and address any issues there may be so we can be fully confident of your visa approval.  We will also begin to prepare the application forms and our detailed legal cover letter arguing your case.
  • On the day of the appointment, you will meet us outside the UKBA Public Enquiry Office (PEO) and we will escort you through the building.  As you are paying for a full representation service we will do all the talking for you and ensure that you have no issues with your case or the UK Border Agency staff.
  • You will need to pay the Government fees directly to the UKBA using your credit or debit card and have your Biometric data taken.  This involves them taking your digital finger prints and photograph. At this point, you will have been inside the PEO for about an hour to two hours.
  • At this stage you will also have a decision to make as you can leave the PEO and leave the rest to us or you can sit with us while we make full representation on your behalf to the UKBA case worker.  They generally do not give us any hassle as they know that we know the rules and law in many cases better than they do. It is simply easier to just take the case from us and grant your visa approval.  If you stay with us throughout the whole process can now take 6-7+ hours.
  • That evening (or on occasion the following evening) your visa application will be released to us with your visa approval letter and all the documents we have submitted. You should note that the visa is no longer stamped in your passport but you will be issued with a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card.  It looks a lot like a pink UK driving license but it has a chip on the back that stores all of your biometric data.
  • If you are still with us at this stage you can take all your documents home with you or if you have left after the Biometrics, we will safely take everything back to our office in Central London for collection at a time that suits you.
  • From the date the visa is approved it takes about 7-10 days for the UKBA to post your BRP visa card to our office by secure post as the cards are printed by the DVLA in Swansea (miles away!).  And that Ladies and Gentlemen will be the end of the process…..for now.

So why not get in touch with us today and let us show you how different we are from any other immigration consultancy out there. With a free consultation and all of our visas covered by our no-win, no-fee guarantee, what have you got to lose…
